Learning Design and Development Work
- Work collaboratively with departments, academics and support staff to design, implement and evaluate technology supported teaching and learning courses and resources.
- Lead or contribute to initiatives that develop staff capacity to design and deliver technology mediated learning within programmes and courses.
- Make scholarly contributions to strategic elearning initiatives.
- Consult with university staff on the findings and implications of research into the various uses of technology in teaching and learning.
- Initiate and promote innovative approaches to technology supported learning, teaching and academic development.
Teaching and Professional Development Work
- Deliver professional development workshops.
- Develop professional development resources for use across the Faculty and wider university.
- Teach on accredited courses / support teaching on accredited courses.
Consultant for Academic Staff
- Provide guidance, advice and / or information to individuals or groups of staff on a range of professional issues and learning / teaching improvement.
- Establish professional networks between staff and across faculties and departments.
Student Supervision
- PhD adviser to BLAKE, A. ‘Development of a Sustainable Partnership Framework for Utilizing University Courses, Open Educational Resources and E-learning to Address Health & Social Needs in the Pacific.’ 2010 - Present.
- PhD adviser to STASIAK, K. 'Computer-Administered Cognitive Behavioral Self-Help Intervention for Adolescents with Mild to Moderate Depressive Symptoms: Programme Development and Examination of Feasibility, Efficacy and Acceptability. Thesis submitted: 30 October 2007.
